Commissions & Bespoke

Want to own your very own sketchy hound? Read on to find out more about my commission service.

I love drawing people’s dogs, capturing their emotions and characteristics in the illustration.
Please see the information below to find out more about the process of illustrating your pooch.

Interested in having a bespoke dog illustration for your company or business? I am always keen to collaborate with others to design the perfect pooch for you, for a one of a kind design. To find out more about my other bespoke illustrations please see the Liz Pengilley Studio website.

Below gives you more information on how I draw your dog. Please contact info@sketchyhounds.com for further information.

  • I initially say to send me a photo(s) of your dog(s) so I can see what you would like me to draw. The better the resolution of your dog, the better as it helps me capture more detail such as their fur colour, collar colour or other details such as the background.

I will then get back to you with the cost of illustrating the design for you. I usually illustrate to A4 size, but you might want a bigger or smaller illustration which is fine too.

If you are happy with the cost I will then send you an initial invoice for 25% of the cost upfront.

  • I will usually draw an initial first draft of your dog(s), to check you are happy with the look, before finalising details and sending you the final design.

From here I can either send you the final design for you to print, or I can print the final for you. (Please see Step 3 for more info)

Please note all drafts up until final payment and design will have a watermark over the illustration.

  • Once you are happy with the final design I will invoice for the remaining 75% of payment and will either send you the file without the watermark as a high res pdf or jpeg.

If you want the design printed I will have already let you know the cost of this in the initial quote. I usually print as a giclée print on 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper, which is a lovely quality.
